Enology

Albakar is hand-crafted from Viognier grapes grown in two small, south-facing, clay-soil parcels in Alicante (~1.27 ha total). The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo skin maceration for 48 hours, followed by 30 days on lees to build texture. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks with temperature control below 20 °C. No sulphites are added, resulting in a natural, expressive white wine with golden hues. 

Tasting Notes

This dry white wine shows intense aromas of pear and apricot with delicate floral highlights. The palate is medium-bodied and aromatic, combining soft acidity and a textured mouthfeel from extended lees contact. A distinctive finish reveals subtle skin-derived notes and mineral nuances. 

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with Mediterranean seafood, ceviche, grilled vegetables, and tapas. Also excellent with poultry, goat cheeses, or dishes seasoned with citrus and herbs — perfect lightly chilled.
