Enology
This prestigious wine is produced from hand-harvested grapes grown in over 90-year-old vineyards in La Horra — known as the historic heart of Ribera del Duero. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for 8 days, followed by an intensive 15-day maceration. Lastly, the wine is aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels, accentuating both elegance and deeper structure.
Tasting Notes
Displays a deep garnet-red color with violet highlights and bright clarity. Aromas lead with ripe black fruits — blackberry and plum — evolving into red fruit nuances, aromatic woods, and refined spicy notes. On the palate, it’s powerful yet fleshy, with firm but sweet tannins and a polished, lingering finish.
Food Pairing
Exceptional with grilled or roasted red meats, such as lamb or beef, and complements hearty dishes like casseroles or stews. Its deep fruit profile and subtle spice also make it a great match for mature cheeses and cured meats.
